General Information

The Westkuestenklinikum in Heide - literally the west coast hospital - is the medical centre for Schleswig Holstein's North Sea coast. As well as being a 606 bed hospital providing specialist services, the Westkuestenklinikum is also an academic teaching hospital for the universities of Kiel and Luebeck.

The hospital includes 14 departments and institutes which together offer a comprehensive spectrum of services. State of the art technical equipment makes up the core of the Westkuestenklinikum's quality standard.

In recent years the Westkuestenklinikum has developed into a modern centre providing services in the health sector. The medical care provided is supplemented by advice and other services extending beyond the normal duties of a hospital.
